Risottos are a Thermomix favourite. The hard work is all done for you, and you get to enjoy a restaurant-like meal made in 30 minutes midweek.
Feeding more than 4?
Increase the amount of rice, but remove the chicken and cook it separately to not overflow the bowl.
Tomato and Bacon Spaghetti
Difficulty: easy | Serving size: 4 portions
Preparation time: 10 min | Total time: 35 min
This recipe allows you to cook it all in one go, no need to change the bowl, or to turn on the hob to boil the pasta. The pasta cooks in the sauce making it super creamy with no addition of cream itself.
Feeding more than 4?
Supplement it with veggies, or extra protein you can make in an air fryer or the hob, while the pasta cooks.
Difficulty: easy | Serving size: 4 portions Preparation time: 15 min | Total time: 1h 40 min
Don't worry, you don't need to take over 1h to make a Katsu Curry, you only have to make the sauce of this recipe, buy frozen breaded chicken, and turn the rice cooker on. (You can also cook the rice in the Varoma in a bunt tin, 1 part water to 1 part rice covered with foil, for the entire duration of the sauce-making steps).
Feeding more than 4?
The Sauce is quite generous so I would suggest increasing the amount of chicken and rice or steaming some extra veg in the Varoma while the sauce is cooking.
Difficulty: easy | Serving size: 4 portions
Preparation time: 10 min | Total time: 20 min
It's super simple, and only a few ingredients you would likely have in your cupboard. When I serve this recipe it never looks like a lot on the plate, but the truth is, it's super filling and we all struggle to finish it.
Feeding more than 4?
If you think it won't be enough, pair it with some garlic bread.
Difficulty: easy | Serving size: 6 portions
Preparation time: 10 min | Total time: 1h 5 min
This recipe dosen't have to take over an hour, you don't have to wait 30 min to let the chicken marinate, simply cook it once you finish making the fresh pesto sauce and get the past boiling on the hob. You can have it all ready under 30 minutes.
Feeding less than 6?
Adjust the amount of ingredients to your needs. The Pesto sauce is only great when freshly made, change the quantities to suit your needs.
