Thermomix "vs" Air fryer - What's the diffrence?

A Thermomix and an air fryer have their differences but are a great combo to have in your ktitchen, they can cook together to make your life easier and save time.
The most common misconception when I mention a Thermomix is, "but I already have an air fryer.“ When they couldn’t be more different! Each is totally aimed at a different type of cooking, it's like comparing a 4x4 car to a 50cc moped. There is a big difference in price, but there is also a big difference in their purpose is in your kitchen. They are both very good as cooking gadgets but for different reasons.
Functionality
Thermomix: The Thermomix is a multifunctional kitchen appliance that combines several cooking methods, including chopping, blending, steaming, cooking, and even weighing ingredients. It is designed to replace up to 20 kitchen appliances, making it a versatile tool for various cooking tasks with an intregated step-by-step recipes database called Cookidoo suitable for any level of cookign experience.
Air Fryer: An air fryer primarily focuses on replacing conventional frying while using significantly less oil. It is mainly used for frying, roasting, and baking, and some also include slow cooking, searing and keeping food warm. It can easily replace the use of the oven or a deep fryer. There are cookbooks you can purchase to guide you with recipes available from diffrent chefs.
Cooking Methods
Thermomix: Can blend, braise, chop, crush, caramelise, heat, knead, grate, grind, juice, mix, mill, mince, puree, weigh, whip, stir, steam, sauté, stew, slow-cook, sous-vide food and cook at precise temperatures.
Air Fryer: Primarily air frying, but can also roast, bake, and grill.
Ease of Use
Thermomix: Comes with a guided cooking feature that simplifies the cooking process, making it user-friendly for beginners. However, it may have a steeper learning curve due to its multiple functions and available acessories.
Air Fryer: Typically straightforward to use, with simple controls for temperature and time. It is often favored for quick meals and snacks.
Size and Capacity
Thermomix: Fairly compact but with the option to cook a main course for up to 6 people, or can help create a béchamel sauce for a lasagna for up to 12 people. It can even be used commercially in busy kitchens for meticulous broths, purées, delicate sauces, doughs, creams, and desserts.
Air Fryer: Available in various sizes, often with a large capacities suitable for cooking one element of the meal.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Thermomix: Designed to pre-clean it self after use, with many parts being dishwasher safe, or a quick rinse if not too dirty.
Air Fryer: Generally easy to clean, with removable baskets that are often dishwasher safe.
Price
Thermomix: Higher end of the price spectrum due to its multifunctionality, brand reputation, and guaranteed 10-year customer support if something goes wrong.
Air Fryer: Available at various price points, generally more affordable than a Thermomix.
Conclusion
Through my research I can conclude that a Thermomix and an air fryer complement each other in the kitchen, with many people choosing to have both. They can both make your life eaiser in the kitchen and make meals in less time that traditional cooking. While a Thermomix replaces most of your cooking gadgets, it dosen't replace an oven, and an air fryer is a great alternative to an oven. A Thermomix is a much more versatile appliance than the kitchen gadgets it replaces, and can perform multiple cooking tasks, while the air fryer is much more efficient at frying and roasting foods quickly, making them both a great combo!
